This shows a finished chair, re-caned and grained. The righthand picture illustrates how the item arrived to the workshop.

Mr Jamet of Helen's Bay was very pleased when his damaged chair was repaired and colour matched with the rest of his American dining chair set. The damaged cane is shown in the centre and right pictures. This was a particularly challenging piece of work and very satisfying to get right.

We can also repair rushwork. Here you see a finished pair of seats and a closeup of one corner when they arrived to the workshop !

Lucy Jaffa from Belfast was heartbroken when her magnificent caned 3-seater sofa and lounger got damaged. They look fabulous when restored. You can see the damage on the left picture. These were so large that they came by furniture van.

A venacular country chair of 19th century origin has had the rush seating replaced and on the right, a stool is in the process of having Danish cord replaced.

Mr Kissock of Belfast had his kitchen doors caned. Here you see the general view of one door with a close-up to the right.

This beautiful little armchair was re-caned for Prof. Burrows in January 2014. Pictures show the "before" and "after" looks. Floating centre-pieces present their own unique look - and also some unique problems for the re-caning process. Well worth the effort though!
